Parent Support Group(PSG)

Groups parent support formed in 30 project schools, it’s a family therapy sessions designed to empower parents who have children with disabilities, it is an essential element of creating change at family and community level. These groups of 20 parents per schools provided a mechanism for peer support; enabling parents to connect, share experiences and become advocacy in their communities.PSG are highly effective path for the sensitization of the community on rights of disabled children. The impact was also reflected through the strengthening of child protection mechanism in the community and schools. Child Support trained and deploys Parents Support Supporting Group to identify cases of child abuse.
